The way I see it . . .

I decided to do a weekly Sunday post, “The way I see it . . .” I’ll be writing about stuff that has helped me over the last six years of a very difficult transition. Morphing from a place where all things are familiar to a life where very little produces the sense of Deja vu left me frozen in fear most of the time. However, the process has given me new eyes on life. I want to share my eyes with you in “The way I see it”. . .

The Way I See it . . .

Who is God? – Ok, so I am not the authority here. But the way I see it is like this – people generally attempt at grasping who God is by taking the best version of themselves project that to some super human status. Add in all the goodness they can perceive, then, voile, you have God.

He is not the best version of you or me. He is outside of who we are in our goodness. But He wants to be known, like really intimately. But only the pure in heart will see Him for who He is instead of some abstract version of yours truly.

Consider this. People, again I say typically, see everything according to the bias of their own character. Friends, family, life and God are seen through their lens.

That’s the way I see it!

Thanks for coming by . . .

How do you see it?

I'm a pretty simple country guy who enjoys living in the wide open spaces. I was married two years after graduating from high school. Life was pretty simple. You know, black and white, clear cut, no hassle kind of life style. Then 40 years later our marriage ceded to death. Life as I knew it was over! Pain and suffering have a way of opening you up like a plow tills a field. As a result, my black and white philosophy went to 256 shades of gray. I have a changed perspective, a different heart and a new life. My wife, Carrie, and I live in Kempton, Pennsylvania where we are enjoying our new lives together with our friends, family, horses and a colony of feral cats.
